Beyond regulatory compliance, everything is done to ensure the protection of our employees and their environment. Through its main prevention body, the CCSCT, Blachere Illumination defines key areas for action and progress in workplace safety, health, working conditions, and environmental management.
Employee Benefits
Our compensation policy is based on fairness, diversity, recognition of skills, and performance. At Blachere Illumination, it includes the following measures:
• A 13th-month bonus paid monthly to all employees.
• A seniority bonus after 3 years of service for non-executive employees.
• A profit-sharing bonus based on company results, distributed equally among all employees.
• Family health insurance: all employees automatically benefit from a company health insurance plan that covers their healthcare and that of their dependents (spouses, children, etc.) for the same cost.
• Solidarity day donation to all employees.
• Gift vouchers and holiday vouchers via the company’s Social and Economic Committee.
Work Organization
Because family is a value lived and built daily at Blachere Illumination, and because our business is inherently seasonal, several measures have been designed and implemented to ensure maximum work-life balance for all employees:
• Remote work: for eligible roles, employees can benefit from up to 30 telecommuting days per year, taken as 1 day per week throughout the year.
• 4-day work week: for logistics and production roles only, employees can work 35 hours over 4 days during the off-season, a schedule highly appreciated by our teams.
• Other schedule adjustments, defined with operational managers, allow for an effective and balanced work organization across all positions in the company.

We would like to share our story Last November, we were introduced to Carlo and Avontuur-BlachereNL. Maastro is the radiotherapy clinic in Limburg, where we treat people with cancer through radiation therapy. For Christmas, we wanted to give our lobby a warm appearance, as a sign that we care about our patients and to literally offer a little light in a difficult time.
Together with Carlo, we put together a lighting plan. He thought along with us to create a cohesive whole, tailored to our location and message. The heart we chose became a special place where patients could hang their heart’s wish and where many photos were taken. The reactions from patients and staff were truly heart-warming.
The best compliment? A doctor who has worked here for years said: ‘I love arriving on my bike in the early dark morning and seeing the lights shining.’ For us, that’s the proof that the collaboration with Avontuur-BlachereNL delivered exactly what we hoped for.

Besides the richly decorated trees that really make a statement, we are very happy with the custom-made pillar ornaments and the ornaments hanging from the ceiling. This added a lot of atmosphere in many places with minimal space.
In the area of communication, things did not always go smoothly, but in the case of emergencies or matters under time pressure, someone is always available and quick to respond. Despite the points of communication that could find improvement, communication is fine.
How effective do you find our response time and solution orientation?
We really like the flexibility and creativity offered to take into account local needs (there are quite a few) and come up with an appropriate solution. We are completely taken care of.
The quick response times to unforeseen challenges, such as in the 2023 season, where a workable solution was provided within 24 hours, was also unprecedented.
What is your take on the future of our collaboration?
In the long term, we expect this partnership to continue to contribute to strengthening Holland Casino’s brand experience and guest satisfaction. We look forward to continued innovation in decoration concepts that continue to differentiate our locations, with an increasing focus on sustainability.
